Fractal fluency — why the field looks calm
The drifting field is tuned to a mid-range fractal dimension (D ≈ 1.3–1.5), the complexity band the human visual system processes most fluently. Mid-range fractal patterns have been shown to lower physiological stress (skin conductance, EEG) compared with low- or high-complexity images.
